Score Factory Set to Release Next Week
October 05, 2006

Score's debut in 1989 was a landmark release when it came to rookie cards. Many collectors stashed away factory sets in anticipation that names like Barry Sanders, Troy Aikman, Cris Carter and Deion Sanders would put up Hall of Fame numbers on the field. We all know the happy ending to that story and now the focus turns to the class of '06. Collectors are hoping that names such as Bush, Young, Leinart and Cutler are mentioned in the same sentence as those above.

With that said, officials at Donruss Playoff have confirmed the release of a factory set for this year's Score football. Each set will contain all 330 common cards, along with 110 total rookie cards. Score originally had 55 rookie cards at retail, with 45 additional rookie cards been available only in the hobby version. The factory set will combine all of these rookie cards into one release, adding an additional 10 rookie cards that will be exclusive to the factory set only.

The 2006 Score Factory set will be released next week with a SRP of $39.99 per 440 card set.
