When Beckett released their 2nd Annual Game-Used Issue this month, it was no surprise that 2005 Product of the Year (Playoff Absolute Memorabilia) would have a few cards on the list. A panel of Beckett experts ranked in order the top 50 game-used cards of 2005-2006 and Absolute held 17 of the spots, including the number one over-all spot. More impressive might be the fact that Donruss Playoff products captured 46% of the entire list.
"This is an honor that everyone in our building shares," said Donruss Playoff Senior Brand Manager Ben Ecklar. "From our designers and pre-press team, to our production staff and product development team, we all shared in making some of the most innovative game-used cards the industry has ever seen."
"But we aren't done pushing the envelope just yet," added Ecklar.
Donruss Playoff was given the prestigious honor of producing the year's best game-used Memorabilia card, the 2005 Playoff Absolute Memorabilia Tools of the Trade Swatch Single Jumbo Babe Ruth
